Similar to other reviewers, I consistently notice a line forming outside and the tables are consistently occupied inside, which creates a tempting allure to give this place a try. We decided to grab dim sum here for lunch during Cupertino's cherry blossom weekend. When you arrive, a host will guide you to your table and they will give you a paper menu and pen to mark your orders. Menu offers plenty of dishes to choose from which can take awhile to order if you're new to the restaurant. Side dishes have no price, but family dish does. Restaurant has a classical Chinese aesthetic: round table, white table cloth, and featuring a water wall. Even though the menu presented no prices on the single dishes, we kept choosing dishes as if playing roulette. I don't recall the names for each dish, but quality and tasting was satisfying. Serving size is perfect balance. Despite the enjoyable food, we ended up spending $60+ for the meal for two, which was more than we anticipated. While it might not become a regular haunt, it's a place worth saving for future visits.

Quick Service and Decent Dim Sum at Lei Garden My recent visit to Lei Garden in Cupertino provided a decent dim sum experience, albeit with some mixed feelings.Arriving on a Sunday morning around 10:30 am, my party and I were pleased to find a table available without any waiting, despite the small and crowded nature of the restaurant. The dim sum selection process was unique, as patrons are given a menu sheet to pick their favorite items. We opted for a variety of dim sum including baked pork buns, shrimp dumplings, siu mai, fried egg rolls, curry pastry, turnip cake, and xiao long bao. While the food quality was satisfactory, I must admit that I've had better dim sum at other establishments. One standout aspect of our experience was the quick service provided by the staff. Our food arrived all at once and very fast, ensuring that we were not kept waiting. However, the rushed nature of the service detracted slightly from the overall dining experience. In conclusion, Lei Garden offers a convenient option for dim sum lovers in the Cupertino area, with quick service and a decent selection of dishes. While the food quality may not be exceptional, it's worth a visit if you're in need of a quick dim sum fix.

We brought in friends for a gathering. We have the dinner at 6p on Wednesday. One standout was the Beef Short Ribs with Honey Pepper Sauce. The melt-in-your-mouth ribs, similar to sesame beef in their rich sweetness, were cooked to absolute perfection, boasting a satisfyingly deep-fried flavor and a hint of peppery bite. Another crowd-pleaser was the Peppered Lobster with Dried Shrimp. Plump chunks of lobster meat brimming with the warmth of pepper and the umami depth of dried shrimp. It was a seafood lover's dream come true! For a touch of vegetarian delight, we also ordered the Salted Egg Pumpkin and Prawn. The dish beautifully balanced flavors and textures. Crispy, lightly breaded pumpkin pieces danced with pops of juicy prawns, all enveloped in a subtle, addictive salted egg sauce. It was a light and satisfying combination that perfectly rounded out the meal. Overall, our dinner a resounding success. The delicious food, paired with the attentive service and vibrant atmosphere, created a truly memorable evening for all. We left feeling happy, well-fed, and already planning our next get-together at this hidden gem.

I used to live 5 min walk away from here, and I always see a line outside so I never really had the urge to try it out (but then our family would drive 10+ min to get dimsum at another place with long lines....so it doesn't really make sense). Anyway, I finally got the chance to try it out this year and I really liked it! Yes, it was a bit pricey compared the other dimsum places, but the quality was there. I enjoyed everything I had here. The tripe was the only one that was just okay though.

Food is good and the service is pretty quick. Be aware that some fish dishes may contain bones -- the small kind. Also some soups may come as a broth. The things that were cooked in the soup come in a separate bowl.
